The Art Of Storytelling creativity

The Art Of Storytelling

Sitting down to write just hours before it is due, writing only one draft, and submitting it is not the best practice. Racing against the clock leaves little to no time for revision. Those using this method often say that working fast somehow allows them to overcome writer’s block.

Sometimes we work under strict time constraints – that is something to be said of all professions. In some cases, we believe that we can produce good quality work just before the deadline. That racing approach to writing is much more than just a problem of time management or procrastination. Writing quickly is one feat easily done, but writing quality work is something that requires a higher command of words and wordplay.

A process model of writing is an approach that enables us to compose tactfully. In a sequence of steps, we are able to create a well-structured piece. This is the polar opposite of working under pressure. Writers who take the process approach treat their work as a sequence of necessary stages. The constant refining of their work allows the writer to devise a thoughtful and coherent piece of literature.

We must become effective writers and researchers when constructing a piece. In order to do this, we must be able to make informed decisions. We must also be capable of adapting. Being well-rounded means knowing how to approach a situation and why you are approaching your situation in that manner. You need to be more mindful about how you write in terms of style, language and subject.

Having the luxury of time for writing and revising your work is a good thing, but there will be situations where a deadline is constricting.

Fortunately, good writers know how to produce high-quality writing that is guided by a process. This is accomplished by analyzing the rhetorical situation before and during writing. In this case, you spend more time planning than actually writing. As you continue to write and gain experience, you will determine your own version of this method.

To be an effective writer, you must use language that is audience-oriented, not self-oriented. In other words, consider the needs and interests of your readers. Unsuccessful writing is undefined writing. It is not uncommon to have difficulties getting inside someone else’s shoes. However, audience awareness is a major key to successful writing.

There is no right or wrong for when you should consider your audience. However, it is easier to write to accommodate from the conception of a piece than it is to change the direction of a piece. Of course, this is subjective.

Your Art Is A Product

Every artist, designer, poet and author is an entrepreneur the moment they start to sell their work. The problem is that most of them don’t know it. In some more perilous situations, they don’t know what to do about it. Most artists think of their work as art, which is fine (and technically correct), but it is also a product. Products are meant to be sold. Proper sales and marketing strategies are key to selling products.

Creative Thinking

Abstract art is a visual representation of a conceptual subject. When looking at an abstract piece, we do not see a realistically depicted subject, but rather how we perceive these things in a more transcendent light. Abstract art deconstructs the familiarity by which we can see and gives us a depiction that we must interpret. This can be a challenge for those who are more accustomed to lateral thinking and more contemporary forms of art.

Connections Through Content

The best content comes from the informed choice of putting time and effort into creating something that achieves what you want. The quality of something is relative and this applies especially to things we consume. What is the point of buying 6-inch heels when you really prefer sneakers? Content for your business should engage your customers (and attract your potential customers) by providing something useful. At the end of it all, they should have something to take away from your business.

Is Creativity Intelligence?

As it turns out, we all have moments when we think, “What was I thinking?” Sometimes you hear stories about smart people who do questionable things. Well, maybe, these people aren’t that smart. For accuracy, maybe we need to set well-defined parameters. Intelligence is often denoted by IQ and the depth of perceived knowledge. What this means is that your intelligence is based on assumptions and test scores. People who identify others as ‘smart’ do so based on the level of education, acquired wealth (as a measure of success), social standing and few other factors.

Being Resourceful

Being resourceful is more than just making use of the resources around you. If you need to accomplish goals and you consistently find unconventional ways to do that, then you should have realized that is a mindset. It’s a way of thinking that is innate in some but can be learned by others. It all starts with being open-minded. Rather than being constrained by your circumstances, you should look at the things you can do.
